Our Vision
A strong and effective community working together to promote conservation efforts to protect Paradise Lake and its surrounding watershed. Our community will be local citizens, community groups, state, provincial, regional and national groups to create synergy for the protection of the Paradise Lake region.
A healthy lake ecosystem that supports the well-being of the people of the region, provides recreational opportunities, includes a sustainable fishery, and provides natural habitat for wildlife and fowl.
Goals
The goals of the Paradise Lake Association are
- Promote an understanding and appreciation of the rights and responsibilities of owners of riparian lands.
- Provide a leadership role in promoting the preservation of Paradise Lake and its watershed, including connecting creeks, rivers, streams, and wetlands.
- Communicate and advocate sound environmental solutions involving lake level, water safety, water pollution, weed control, and indiscriminate or over development of waterfront and wetlands.
- Work with and promote Federal, State and local government bodies and organizations concerned with water quality and environmental issues and to advocate water quality programs to benefit local residents .
- Assist in the acquisition, establishment, maintenance and protection of nature preserves, wilderness and other protected areas in the general vicinity of Paradise Lake and its connecting creeks, streams, rivers and wetlands .
